When is Australia best enjoyed, during the cold season or Sunny season?

Since Australia is very large it really depends where you are. Winter in Canberra and Melbourne is bitterly cold (for many people anyway), while in Sydney winter is cold, but not oppressively so. While Northern Queensland and the Northern Territory you might not even notice what season it is.
But if you are asking what season in genreal is better to be traveling around Australia (assuming you will be going to several cities) i would definitely say summer.
Places like Sydney and Melbourne particularly are less exciting in winter. Nights are cold and people stay at home and indoors. Night life in Sydney in the summer is much more lively. Plus if you come to Sydney in the winter you will be missing out on hanging out at the beaches.
Secondly, winter is the off season for travelers, so if you are traveling alone, you will be less likely to meet other travelers and your trip probably wont be as fun.
Almost anything you can do in winter in Australia, you can do in summer. But it's not the other way around. The only benefit to coming to Australia in winter is that some accomidation might be cheaper, and you can go skiing. But if you really want to go skiing i would recommend New Zealand anyway.
Hope this helps.
There is not much to do around here in winter. But in Summer you can go to places like the Gold Coast which has great beaches.
Then we have the theme parks like dream world, white water world, , movie world, and wet and wild. Which aren't that great to go to when it's freezing cold.
