Ok I realize I am a freak........

  • These were some shots from last night in my class....of course I had to be different....everyone else's were vvery nice normal portraits and these.....hmmmm...were mine......The interesting part was for me even though I struggled with my settings because people would add addition flash for what I had metered (Not making excuses just an explaination) These models prefered mine over others perfectly exposed shots....go figure.........I know I'm weird....but I said I would share even though I'm kinda embarrassed to do so :blushing:

BTW no post work done on these......Thanks for lookin'

  • Interesting shots. I like them!

  • Photography is a very subjective art. The comments by woodsac and Big Mike said it best...

Photo #4 is my personal fave.

  • I like the last one best!

  • No need to be embarrassed...thinking outside of the box is definitely a good trait.

  • I think it is possible to make portraits "different" and still have faces in focus and good contrast lighting and interesting compositions. expression is also important for a portrait.

however, art is subjective and it's great that the models liked your shots. what did your teacher think?

  • Could you borrow Rob's Tom from Rob for your session? ;) It almost looks like it.
I like the first and last best of the series.
What did you do to make the third look kind of painted?

  • Thanks guys and gals!! I had fun shooting...I really appreciate the feedback! : )

  • I likem too. The tilt gives them character. And I like all the different exposures. Well done gal 8 )

  • VERY cool. I love the first and the last. Wonderfully surreal!

  • Well I like em! Basically because they are different. #2 is a little dark for me. I don't mind the red tint though ;)
